We use three units of Mitsubishi Electric’s RV-FR series 6-axis robots to assemble a box-shaped mock-up of high-mix low-volume products.
Not only assembly but also from workpiece supplying to screw tightening are reproduced by the robots, making a state closer to full automation.
The 10120 series is installed for the internal board connection. Its floating function offsets the mounting misalignment and completes board mating.
A Unit-able connector is used for the interface, enabling automation of high-mix low-volume products.
Using a collaborative robot in the material supplying section, we have realized a safety fence-less system. We are also implementing quality judgment and information traceability based on the sensor and driver’s output information.
