In Onboard Coaxial Camera Solution "Absorb 6G CAM"
Along with the growing needs for autonomous driving and ADAS, the demand for view cameras (surround view), e-mirrors, sensing cameras, monitoring cameras, etc. is rapidly increasing in the in-vehicle camera market. As a result, there may be concerns such as "I want to automate production in order to increase the number of production" and "I am in trouble because the amount of data to be handled increases with automatic driving".
Based on the technology we have cultivated so far, IRISO has developed the in Onboard Coaxial Camera Solution "Absorb 6G CAM" (hereafter referred to as "Absorb 6G CAM").
We will respond to a wide range of customer needs, such as streamlining of production processes by supporting Robot assembly, high-speed transmission and miniaturization of cameras, such as high-resolution and miniaturization of cameras.

Three features of "Absorb 6G CAM"
We will respond to a wide range of customer needs by taking advantage of these three features: "Robot assembly support", "high performance camera support", and "miniaturization/single board support".
Compatible Robot assembly
IRISO boasts the industry's largest variety of Floating Connector Mating which the connection surface Floating when mated. The Floating Connector absorbs board misalignment and reduces stress on soldering parts. Prevents soldering cracks. It is also possible to mount and mate multiple Mating on the same board.
The connector used in "Absorb 6G CAM" also has a large amount of misalignment absorption to meet the needs of Robot assembly and robot assembly, contributing to absorption of misalignment during assembly and optical axis alignment.
Compatible with high performance cameras
IRISO provides connectors that support high-speed transmission while maintaining the superior functions of conventional connectors, such as the Floating structure mechanism. Even terminals with a complex structure can achieve high-speed transmission at a high level by having a stable impedance profile.
The connector of "Absorb 6G CAM" supports 3GHz transmission, ensuring communication quality and contributing to higher pixel density (up to 3M pixels, coaxial (PoC) transmission compatible).
Miniaturization and compatibility with a single substrate
Cameras are getting smaller and more sophisticated, and parts are getting smaller. Therefore, IRISO has reduced the board connector mounting area by making use of the technological capabilities that we have cultivated in Board to Board Connectors, which is our strength. We will contribute to the miniaturization and low profile of cameras.

The concept of "Absorb 6G CAM" is "not a single connector, but a total proposal from the camera internal connector to the connection cable connector". With the following four component products, we will respond to customer needs as a one-stop shop.

① 0.4mm pitch board-to-board connector (Floating structure type/fixed type)
This is a board-to-board connector that connects the board inside the camera.
There are two types available, a Floating structure type and a fixed type that supports miniaturization, and you can choose according to your needs. In addition, we have a rich product lineup that can meet a wide range of needs for pin counts and Mating heights.

② Misalignment tolerance coaxial compression connector
A misalignment-tolerant coaxial compression connector that balances conflicting elements such as "high-speed transmission", "absorption of misalignment", and "miniaturization".

It has an effective Mating length of 1 mm in the Z direction, and can absorb accumulated component tolerances and assembly tolerances.

Due to the positional relationship between the center contact and the shield shell, it is possible to absorb ±0.5 mm misalignment in the X Y direction.

④ Coaxial (FAKRA) cable connector
USCAR standard FAKRA cable connectors recommended. In cooperation with the FAKRA connector manufacturer, we will evaluate and verify the combination with our rear case and PCB connector to guarantee total Mating and transmission.
