A technique for accurately measuring small resistances by minimizing the voltage drop in the leads by separating the current supply and voltage measurement loops.
Accurate resistance measurements are possible because very little current flows through the leads to the voltmeter, which has a much higher internal resistance than the object being measured. This method is used to measure the contact resistance of connectors, etc.
