What is a Floating Connector?
IRISO' "Floating Connector" is a general term for connectors with a Floating structure that allows Floating between rows and in the pitch direction (X-axis and Y-axis) by providing a Floating spring part on the terminal.
Most general Board to Board Connectors Floating Connector of the rigid type (fixed) that do not have a Floating spring part, and cannot be Mating if the mounting position on the board is misaligned. Equipped with a Floating structure mechanism that absorbs errors, it is possible to Mating normally.
Floating connector absorbs board misalignment and reduces stress on soldered parts. You can prevent poor contact due to defects such as solder cracks.
