I. As a Member of the IRISO Group

Be aware of our social responsibility

We are always aware of our social responsibility and manage our business operations soundly and effectively.
As a component manufacturer, we are a force for good in society by supplying products used for electronic devices that help people.

Be a sensible member of society

We comply with applicable laws and regulations and always act ethically to build trust with society through resonating with customers. Each and every employee is required to have a high standard of knowledge and experience, as well as remaining disciplined. To develop social trust on IRISO, we need to take small steps every day.

We carry out business operations in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as with corporate ethics in every area of our business.
We never tolerate antisocial forces and organizations of any kind that threaten the order and safety of society.

In doing business with overseas customers, we comply with international rules, and local laws and regulations, as well as importing and exporting laws and regulations. We are committed to respecting local customs and cultures of other countries and regions where we operate.

We work together in a global business entity as the “Team IRISO”, where each and every one of us has strong motivation and enthusiasm, as well as going beyond individual contributions.

III. With Our Suppliers

Do business fairly and ethically

We comply with the Antimonopoly Act, the Subcontractors Act, the Unfair Competition Prevention Act and other competition laws in and outside Japan. We adhere to the terms of contracts with our suppliers and promote our business with our suppliers on an equal footing. We do not give, demand, nor accept bribes, cash and any other favor to seek or gain unfair advantages.
We require all suppliers, whether in or outside Japan, not to provide, promise, or offer cash and cash equivalent to a third party, directly or indirectly, to have the third party perform improper business practices for the purpose of winning or securing business or business favors for us, to make up for improper business practices of a third party, or while taking the receipt of cash and cash equivalent by a third party itself as an illegal business practice. Besides, to conduct IRISO business, we do not demand, promise to receive, or accept cash and cash equivalent in return for improper business practices for a third party.

Stay humble

We ensure we do not perform any illegal practice by using superior bargaining power such as the following: unfair reciprocal dealing, unfair price beating, unreasonable refusal to accept the goods, irrational return of the goods provided, delayed payment, forcing our suppliers to purchase goods from us or to provide service, and unjustified economic demand. In addition, we do not personally accept any favor or benefit.

Select suppliers

We procure goods and services in accordance with our procurement criteria for quality, safety, environment, price, delivery period, and so forth, as well as ensuring fair and ethical business relationships with our suppliers. Besides, global demand for corporate social responsibility, not only in a company but also across the entire supply chain, is rising, while our supply chain network is expanding not only inside Japan but also to countries and regions outside Japan. Given this situation, we set up and disclose our procurement guidelines, and share them with our suppliers. We are dedicated to addressing social issues at an entire supply chain level by, for example, requesting our suppliers to commit themselves to compliance, quality and safety, environmental conservation, fair trade and ethics, health and safety, human rights, labor, and others, just as we do. 

Respect intellectual property rights

We foster our corporate culture to respect the intellectual property rights of others as well as those of ours, such as patents and trademark rights.

Procurement conflict minerals

We do not procure minerals or goods related to armed conflicts, human rights abuses, environmental destruction, or health and safety disruption.

We ensure important information on IRISO and business partners is managed very carefully, and do not engage in any insider trading.

Effective information disclosure

We ensure reliable, valuable information is disclosed effectively to stakeholders such as shareholders.

Comply with applicable laws and regulations

In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we are committed to disclosing information timely and effectively, as well as acting fairly and ethically. 

V. With Our Employees

Human resource development

We focus our efforts on the development of a workforce who is skilled, creative and highly motivated for challenges, as well as being committed to achieving work life balance.

Respect human rights

We do not tolerate any human rights violation or discrimination, including discriminations on the ground of race, creed, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, social status, nationality, ethnicity, religion, skin color, disability, pregnancy, party affiliation or political opinion, union membership, marital status, and so forth, as well as harassment such as sexual harassment, power harassment, slander and others.

Respect the privacy of others

In the course of developing our business globally, we respect value diversity and the privacy of each individual to create an open and positive workplace.

Workplace safety and health

We ensure that employee health, wellbeing and safety come first, as well as being dedicated to promoting a safe and healthy work environment where we can work safely and securely.

Prohibit inhuman acts

We are dedicated to equal opportunity and non-discrimination in recruiting activity and personnel management, as well as employing no children younger than the minimum age for employment in accordance with the local laws of each country.

Information security

We take care of internal information systems including networks and company assets, as well as being committed to preventing unauthorized use of them, by drawing a line between the public and private.

Confidential information management

We do not bring out or leak business secrets and other inside information we acquire while working at IRISO without its permission, nor disclose them when we leave it.

VI. With Environment, Local Community and Global Society

Be earth-friendly

We ensure our commitment to sustainability is embedded in our business, and play a positive role in global environmental preservation and conservation, the creation of a low-carbon and resource-circulating societies, environmental risk management and biodiversity conservation, and others.

Develop eco-friendly products

We are fully concerned about global environmental problems, such as global warming, management of environmentally hazardous substances, chemical materials, issues of waste disposal and recycling, and reflect the results in product planning, development and manufacturing.

Promote environmental education

We are actively engaged in sustainable activities including waste reduction, recycling and energy saving in the workplace, as well as raising environmental awareness among employees through education and training, and awareness programs. 

Participate in regional communities

We aim to participate in regional communities as one of their members through making contributions to community development for creating a better life and affluent society.

Think and act globally

We are committed to complying with local laws and respecting our business code of conducts in line with international rules, as we operate in the global economy.

Be globally-minded

We are committed to understanding the social circumstances of local communities where we operate and do our business in consideration of local cultures, customs and religions, as well as to having a mutually beneficial relationship with locals by fostering a better understanding of Japanese culture and value.

Be sensible

We do not offer, demand, nor accept bribes, cash and any other favor to seek or gain unfair advantages.
We are committed to complying with anti-corruption laws and regulations applicable to the countries and regions where we do business, as well as prohibiting the offering and receiving of bribes from public officials and any person who performs any public function (hereinafter, referred to as “Public Officials and Others”). In addition, we, do not, directly or indirectly, provide, promise or offer any cash or cash equivalent, advantage or favor, to Public Officials and Others to have an effect on them for the purpose of winning or securing business or business favors for us. We do not tolerate such acts, neither.
We also expect agents, who conduct IRISO business or part of the business on behalf of the IRISO group, and business partners to comply with anti-corruption laws and regulations, and so forth.
