Announced the concept of "Absorb 6G CAM", an in Onboard Coaxial Camera Solution that supports Robot assembly, high performance, and miniaturization of in-vehicle cameras.
On May 17, 2022, IRISO Industry (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan; President: Hitoshi Suzuki) announced the concept of Onboard Coaxial Camera Solution "Absorb 6G CAM," which supports the Robot assembly shift, higher performance, and smaller size of in-vehicle cameras.
Absorb 6G CAM is a solution that meets a wide range of needs for internal connections for automotive cameras. Based on the Floating structure Board to Board Connectors and other technologies that IRISO has cultivated over the years, it is based on the concept of "not just a single connector, but a total proposal from the camera's internal connector to the connecting cable connector." With three features: "compatible Robot assembly," "compatible with high-performance cameras," and "compatible with miniaturization and single-board integration," it offers a total proposal for three connections for coaxial cameras: between the harness and rear case, between the rear case and board, and between boards, and can also be customized to meet your needs.
As the three features of Absorb 6G CAM, it supports Robot assembly and robot assembly. Contributes to absorption (maximum X Y direction: 0.9mm, Z direction: 1.0mm *Total combination of board connectors). In addition, high-speed transmission (3 GHz transmission compatible) ensures communication quality and low profile pixel counts improve camera performance. 5.5mm in width and 3.65mm in height (when using Nom).
About the individual products that make up the solution
The Absorb 6G CAM consists of a Floating structure Board to Board Connectors, a coaxial compression connector, a coaxial camera rear case connector, and a FAKRA harness connector. Mass production is scheduled to begin in fiscal year 2022. We are also currently accepting inquiries regarding custom product development and prototyping.
