Announcement: The Akita Plant Commences Operation
IRISO Electronics Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; CEO: Hitoshi Suzuki) is pleased to announce that the Akita plant (located in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture) , the sixth plant that the company has built worldwide, as well as the second plant that it has built in Japan, has just started operation on April 1, 2025 (Tuesday).
The Akita plant is fully equipped to manage all processes in connector production. It has all machinery and equipment needed for key processes in manufacturing connectors, including pressing, molding, plating and assembly.
In April 2025, we will start operating 10 assembly units, 2 pressing machines and 2 molding machines, and then a plating line in June 2025. Finally, the plant will be equipped with 150 assembly units, 30 pressing machines, 30 molding machines, and 5 sixty-meter-long plating lines.
Through operating the plant as a smart factory, we will develop high-value-added products with a strong commitment to the energy saving concept.
