Announcement of Unit-able "18047S/13162B series," interface solution for vibration resistance and waterproofing

On May 25, 2026, IRISO ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, President＆CEO: Hitoshi Suzuki) announced the "18047S series" and "13162B series" connectors that can replace and unitize various interface connections to match the vehicle's cable specifications.

In recent years, the number of interfaces used in automotive and industrial equipment has increased as they have been performing and functioning at a higher level. As a result, interface replacements are required for each model change and specification change, leading to a sharp increase in development workload.

To address these issues, this concept proposes a "Unit-able" design that can be flexibly unitized according to the vehicle's cable specifications. By mounting the "18047S series" on the circuit board side, the conversion interface "13162B series" can be customized to match the vehicle's cable, achieving a high degree of design freedom through interface replacement.

Furthermore, to ensure stable connection reliability even in harsh operating environments, we adopt our unique "Z-Move" technology for high vibration resistance. At the same time, their waterproof design allows them to be used in a wide range of applications and be installed anywhere.

The board-side connector with floating design not only absorbs cumulative tolerances between the housing (interface side) and the board (socket side) but also helps automation through robotic assembly.

It allows stable connectivity even in tough conditions where the product is physically stressed by mechanical loads such as vibration or shock, ensuring long-term connection reliability. It can be used in the tough operating conditions of automotive and industrial equipment.
