CPA (Connector Position Assurance)

As the name suggests, it is a mechanism that ensures the correct Mating position = mated state. In most cases, it refers to a secondary locking mechanism that does not operate unless the Mating state is correct after the connectors are Mating and temporarily locked. Recently, there is also an electrical CPA that has terminals that are shorter than others and monitors the continuity between the connectors to confirm correct Mating.
