Group delay

This is a phenomenon in which the propagation time of a signal changes depending on the frequency. Mainly, the higher the frequency, the faster it becomes, and it causes the rectangular wave of the digital signal to become dull in a sawtooth shape. In transmission lines, it is caused by factors such as the frequency dependence of the dielectric constant of insulating materials and the decrease in inductance due to the skin effect.
