Z-Move structure

What is Z-Move structure?

IRISO' "Z-Move structure" is a connector that not only has Floating structure Floating on the X and Y axes, but also adds a structure that Floating on the Z axis while the contacts remain fixed, making it possible to absorb minute board amplitudes caused by resonance in the high vibration frequency range. This prevents a decrease in contact reliability due to micro-sliding wear.
It meets the standards for critical safety application that can be installed in vehicles, significantly improving workability and reliability.

Benefits of using Z-Move structure

Various problems can be solved by using Z-Move structure.

  • Floating in the Z-axis enables the use of connectors to equipment that is affected by vibration.
  • Prevents poor contact due to vibration/load after the set is completed.
  • We can make proposals from the initial design stage with our unique vibration simulation service.
  • The design that emphasizes high heat resistance enables use in harsh high temperature environments.
  • It contributes to automation by absorbing misalignment during Mating due to robot assembly.

10120 series

This 2.0mm pitch, Z-Move structure Floating Floating structure Stacking connection (ST/ST) Board to Board Connector connector is designed for use in severe vibration environments. Its Floating structure design Floating Floating the X and Y directions. The Z-axis has a resonance amplitude of 0.02mm and an effective Mating of 0.8mm. It features a two-point contact that reliably removes foreign matter even in tough environments. It is rated for use in high temperatures up to 125°C. It utilizes IRISO 's proprietary Floating structure technology, "Z-Move structure" (registered trademark). This connector offers excellent vibration and shock resistance, with contacts that Floating in the Z direction while remaining fixed, preventing contact misalignment due to vibration resonance or impact. IRISO 's proprietary analysis system will simulate the optimal mounting method for your equipment.

10127 series

The "10127 Series" connector is a Board to Board Connector connector (2.0mm pitch, Floating in the Z direction) for internal connections developed for drive powertrain applications required for Electric car such as EVs, PHVs, and HVs as a result of the electrification of automobiles. It employs IRISO proprietary Floating structure technology, "Z-Move structure," designed for use in severe vibration environments. The Z-axis Floating while the contacts remain fixed, making this a connector with excellent vibration and shock resistance.

10128 series

0.8mm pitch, Z Floating Floating structure type Stacking connection Board to Board Connector connector for connection in equipment intended for use in harsh vibration environments. Floating 0.5mm Floating in X-Y direction in structure. 0.02mm resonance amplitude and 0.5mm effective Mating length in Z direction. Employs two-point contact for reliable removal of foreign matter even in tough environments. 125°C rated product for use in high-temperature environments. IRISO Employs the industry's proprietary Floating structure technology, Z-Move structure (Zee Move). This connector has excellent vibration resistance and shock resistance, preventing contact misalignment due to resonance and shock by Floating moving in the Z direction while the contacts remain fixed. The use of a narrower pitch has enabled a space saving compared to the conventional 10120 series (approx. 50% reduction). We will strongly support your design by proposing a fixing method adapted to your equipment through vibration simulation.
