Pollution degree (IEC 60664-1)

The equipment is classified into levels 1 to 4 according to contamination such as dust in the air in which the equipment is used, and the rated voltage is determined according to the spatial distance and creepage distance between metals that generate a potential difference. Also called pollution degree.

Pollution degree rough environment
1 In a clean environment or enclosed equipment
2 most common environment
3 Harsh environments such as factories
4 Outdoors where it is mainly exposed to the elements

When we refer to IEC 60664-1 for the rated voltage of our connectors, the applicable pollution degree is listed in specifications, etc., but most are targeted for pollution degree 2. A higher voltage load can be applied when the product is used at a pollution degree lower than that specified in the specifications, so please contact us through our website or contact your sales representative.
Also, if you are considering using it in an environment with a higher degree of pollution, considerations other than load voltage are necessary, and we will consider whether or not to propose alternatives. is.
