Socket Connector

What is a Socket Connectors?

IRISO' "Socket Connectors" is a general term for connectors that are used in combination with pin headers (plugs) for a wide range of connections between devices and internal connections. In addition to being used in combination with plugs, they are also used for power modules in automotive electrical equipment, connecting LCDs, and connecting boards to HDDs.

Advantages of using Socket Connectors

Various problems can be solved by using Socket Connectors.

  • Supports top and bottom connection, improving flexibility in board layout.
  • Equipped with Floating structure and Z-Move structure functions to improve contact reliability.
  • Mating partner pin headers are available with the industry's top product lineup.

Socket Connectors product lineup

18021S series

Pin header Socket (pitch: 2.54mm, 0.64mm square) with Floating structure (Floating Mating part). The bottom Mating method, which is most suitable for board stacking, is adopted, and by replacing the conventional manual soldering board connection with a connector, the delicate soldering process is eliminated and the connection reliability is improved.

9240S series

2.0mm pitch bottom entry Socket for LCD connection. Maximum operating temperature 105°C. Tab size width 0.5mmx thickness 0.3mm. 10 to 30 positions, 1 row, SMT mounting.

9706S series

A 0.5mm pitch, Floating structure type Stacking connection (ST/ST) Board to Board Connector connector enabling high-speed transmission of digital signals. Floating (Floating structure) structure allows for 0.5mm Floating in the XY axis directions. It has an effective Mating length of 0.5mm in the Z direction. It supports high-speed transmission of 1.0Gbps (representative reference value according to our company's definition). Impedance matching: differential 100Ω. It supports Stacking connection with Mating heights of 8.0mm to 15.0mm and employs two-point contacts to reliably remove foreign objects even in tough environments.
