Floating Connector assembly demonstration

In this video, you can watch a demonstration using FANUC's collaborative robot "CRX series". It's a simple product that consists of 3 boards with 7 types of our main Floating Connector mounted on them, and the child boards are inserted and removed endlessly in a circular motion, but I think that's why you can easily understand the characteristics of each one.
Floating structure of our connectors allows for reliable and smooth board assembly work, even when only location teaching is required without using force or Vision sensor. It also highlights the movements unique to the CRX series collaborative robots.
The connectors used here are the 9984 series, 10106 series, 10103 series, 10109 series, 9828 series, and 10112 series.

9984 series

This 0.5mm pitch, Floating structure type Stacking connection (ST/ST) Board to Board Connector connector enables high-speed digital signal transmission. Its Floating (Floating structure) structure allows 0.5mm Floating in X Y direction. The effective Mating length in the Z direction is 0.5mm. It supports high-speed transmission of 1.0Gbps (a representative reference value defined by the company). Impedance matching: differential 100Ω. It supports Stacking connection with Mating heights of 8.0mm to 15.0mm and employs a two-point contact that reliably removes foreign matter even in tough environments.

10106 series

This 0.5mm pitch, Floating structure-type Stacking connection (ST/ST) Board to Board Connector connector enables high-speed digital signal transmission. Floating structure Floating allows 0.8mm Floating in X Y direction. Its effective Mating length in the Z direction is 0.8mm. It supports high-speed transmission of 760Mbps (a representative reference value defined by the company). Impedance matching: 100Ω differential. It supports high profile Stacking connection with Mating heights of 20.0mm, 25.0mm, and 30.0mm, and employs a two-point contact that reliably removes foreign matter even in tough environments. PCB pattern placement is possible within a 1.0mm area at the center of the connector's bottom.

10103 series

This 0.5mm pitch, Floating structure type Stacking connection (ST/ST) Board to Board Connector connector enables high-speed digital signal transmission. Floating structure Floating allows 0.5mm Floating in X Y direction. The effective Mating in the Z direction is 0.5mm. It supports high-speed transmission of 6.0Gbps (a representative reference value defined by the company). It also conforms to V-by-one HS standards, with impedance matching of 100Ω differential. The metal shell provides EMC protection to prevent noise.

10109 series

This 0.635mm pitch, Floating structure type Stacking connection (ST/ST) Board to Board Connector connector enables high-speed digital signal transmission. Its Floating (Floating structure) structure allows 0.5mm Floating in X Y direction. The effective Mating length in the Z direction is 0.5mm. It supports high-speed transmission of 3.0Gbps (a representative reference value defined by the company). Impedance matching: 100Ω differential. It features a two-point contact that can accommodate various Mating heights and reliably removes foreign matter even in tough environments.

9828 series

0.8mm pitch, Floating structure type Board to Board Connector connector. Floating (Floating structure) structure allows 0.5mm Floating in the XYZ directions. Space-saving design.

10112 series

This 0.5mm pitch, Floating structure type Board to Board Connector connector enables high-speed digital signal transmission. Floating structure Floating allows for 0.5mm Floating in the X, Y, and Z directions. It supports V-by-One HS and supports high-speed transmission. Impedance matching: 100Ω.
